life is complicated i realised that.
monday, tuesday, wednesday- spent studying for my test. sad right. i know. but this is my life right now. study study study. i am tortured? yes. but i don't actually hate everything about it. like compared to the holiday, i prefer school. at least i feel like i am at something. my holiday is like living in la-la land. living in comfort zone. right now, is so NOT comfort zone... waiting for an hour in the lab for a reaction to happen seriously is sucking the life out of me. but at least i get the results in the end. and i need the result to score, right. and that is all i need right now. so screw all these sadness and sufferings. i just need a high score. but if i get a low score then that is a different case...
after thursday test, i slept for 3 hours in evening. then, gym at night.
woke up early today and was actually in time for the pre-prac talk (usually i am late). walked to school with metta. then there's the 6hrs prac. the day kinda dragged on. oh and i found out that my prac partner is originally lebanese but born here. no wonder she's darker than the other aussie... but she's really nice. friendly i would say so phew. my prac isn't much of a torture. we get a few laughs from time to time. there's this canadian girl who's on exchange this sem. she really is funny. love her energy and spirit. so me, my partner, canadian girl (just name her that for now) and her prac partner usually chitchat during the incubation period for like 30 minutes or sthg like that. then the canadian girl will start telling us stories that always crack us up. about singaporeans (because she studied there for primary and secondary school), canadians, australians and funny stuffs about the countries. prac is not boring with them around. (= and thanks to metta today. she bought me sushi from UH. gratefulness~
after prac, i came back home. ate and went for the church prayer session with sally, nadia and ko herry. i don't know but it feels like it's been a long time since i last prayed so i'm trying hard to get into the spirit. so bad lur. like struggling to find the words. any words that i can think of, i just say them. i dun really know whether they make sense or not. geez. this just mean one thing. lack of praying. apart from that, i'm glad i join this prayer session then i can get to spend time with awesome people like sally tam. yes. that's her full name. she's someone of strong influence in my life i would say and i do look up to her. of course, i dun idolize her in that sense. but yeah, when she speaks, i can feel her passion. and in a way, that encourages me to act on my faith as well. thanks sal! you've been a wonderful friend who introduced me to POJ. and it has definitely transformed my life. love you darl. xoxo. but it's just that lately we haven't been hanging out with each other like we used to... i miss my friend valerie too who's currently on an exchange for one semester in seattle. she will be back next semester for sure.
and so weird, a friend told me that she would like to introduce me to her oldest brother. because i'm.... =.= wth. why am i suddenly being arranged to meet up with someone.
and fyi, i said no.
after oikos, i took a tram ride with this guy that i hardly talk to in oikos. apparently, it's not that hard to talk to him as i thought it would. because you know, the typical indo people don't like speaking to indos who studied in singapore before... so even tho it's been like almost a year since he joined the oikos, i still can't get to know him personally. maybe it's because of this mindset. but for today, the problem is settled. i think in the future, we can have a more comfortable and open conversation with each other. (=
tml fun times to look forward to! watching Bounty Hunter feat jennifer aniston @Hoyts wif tahnee after she finished work. then i'm sleeping over at her place for the night. i'm so thankful tahnee is always so nice. (= she's like my closest friend here in melbourne i guess. we've been through thick and thin right tahnee. ;)
then before church sunday we intend to have breakfast @Lindt cafe. yumm.
alright time for bed now. tata peeps.

updates!
last saturday, anthony invited us all to have dinner with him @sofia. i came because i know i wouldn't be studying anyway. turned out not many people came. but it's still fun. sat beside vanessa and roselyn and they leaked out some gossips. and some of them were seriously funny. it's regarding ehem-ehem. hahahaha. and the person doesn't even wanna admit it. ckck.
before getting home, we met a church friend filemon (is that how you spell that?). apparently he's heading down my place to gather up with his friends. it was already pretty late. 11 plus. i was supposed to go safeway with tahnee, but we decided to cancel cause it was too late. this guy actually asked me to join him and friends in playing a little betting game. i gave him an unsure face. but he said i could just come and watch. so since i didn't have any other plan, i joined them. they really play with real chip money! his friends are super multi-cultural. and fun to hang out with as well. then i get to know this indo girl named stephanie. little did i know that she is steven's sister- just found out just now while browsing fb. hmmm... so fb really connects people. in support of fb!!! yep and maybe next time i shall ask her to invite her brother steven along. hehe.
on sunday, i did ushering. and church sold soto bakso and shio may. i only bought the soto and it was soggy when i eat it because i went to buy stuffs in the city first after church, with friend, and ate it afterwards. it was ewwww-y but alright. lol. then safeway with brother.
gym ytd and it was freaking crowded. so obvious everyone was waiting for the one and only threadmill. so i just left after waiting for about 20mins long. i feel so much FATter w/o running on it.
oh and i am currently feeling unemployed and unequipped with the things i need in the future. )= i so wanna get a job but in the end, nothing. it's always the case everytime. what is this???

one hectic life i have.
i'm currently sitting in front of my school library's desktop. just finished breezing through the first six lectures of eleven lectures that i have to memorise by thursday morning. the past week has seriously been super tiring. i slept at 5.30am last thursday trying to finish my practical report. i am so glad that it's over. we don't have to do another one for this week. but yeah i have one test for this week. bleah. super sick of prac reports.

joykids.
it's time to commit myself to God. once again.
today is the first time this year i came back to POJ. the past two weeks were spent in Bridge Church. why am i revolving round two churches? because i love both! so this is what i'm going to do... next week onwards, i will attend two churches. saturday service for Bridge and sunday for poj. also, i might be quitting some ministry. i couldn't be possibly juggling all 4 of them in my third year. this is the year when i should be focusing in my studies. hopefully i can glorify God with the results this year. (=
going to zel's place later on to do our prac report. then gym. i feel FAT. fyi.
my weight is back to original. but i am intending to cut down another 2 kilos? i believe i can.
i've got this really big problem now. i changed my breadth subj to Organisational Behaviour because my friends kinda pushed me to do it. actually i have no idea why. but yeah, we later found out that OB has got this assignment due next week. *faint* so tmr, we're going to make a change back to Personal Finance. LOL this is sad. what a rough decision made! shouldn't have done things that i don't want to do. this is the problem with me. i am so weak at times. why do i even trust them??? =.= now there's so much to settle with the student service. we are not supposed to make anymore changes to our subjects. but what to do. this is pressing matter. it's super clear to me that i must change no matter what.
yesterday was great! us biomedders finally had our bbq event. we've been planning this since last sem. so we were pretty much looking forward to it. we had drumsticks, sausages, salad and garlic bread. with sodas of course. we took lots of pictures together. and we ended up talking abt sexual politics. thanks, fui han. my memory of the bbq is really that. lol but of course not. it's a moment to share for all of us. and i'm glad we all took the time out from our busy schedules to make this happen. most of all, i really am thankful for hannah who bought all the food herself and cut down the budget to above 50 bucks. (so each of us only paid 5 bucks!) without her, the bbq might not even happen.
the pictures are in facebook. there's like 100+ of them. ^^

first hailstorm experience.
omg. weird day. it's like a warning that global warming is really happening. started to make me think about possibilities of tsunamis, 2012 or some the-end-of-the-world disasters happening here in melbourne. i utterly went speechless as both my friend and i were sitting inside one of the italian restaurants along lygon street.
this morning, i helped tahnee do makeup. she really looked different after that. it was great. then we went victoria market til 2pm. misfortune happened to me. i lost my 5x weekend metcard + 40 aust dollars. lesson learnt- always to bring wallet/pouch to the market and not put them behind in my pants pocket. )= it was enough a bad day for me w/o the upcoming hailstorm. both friend and i were rushing to Ying Thai for our late lunch when the hailstorm came upon us. it's really sudden and none of us expect it to happen i guess. random event. we were both shocked to hear a loud thud in front us, when more thuds happened. we continued to gasp at the ice on the road in front of us until i myself was actually hit by the ice. thank God, it's not my head. for i know the impact is possible to cause some brain damage... ok maybe that's exaggerating but it might happen. it was my hand. and trust me, is not fun at all. until now, i still have bruises on both areas of my hand. if i rubbed my arms now, it hurts. but there's no time for feeling the pain. even though we both were hit, we had to rush to the nearest shelter with all our might. we even went inside the restaurant because the weather was just so bad. then i called my brother and he said he thinks he's the first to update about the hailstorm in facebook. LOL and also, there were a little bit of flooding at the kerbside of the road. hopefully none of the car's windscreen got cracked because of the bad weather...
it was when the rain simmered that we walked briskly to Ying Thai to have LUNCH! i think the food was not very good but i ate it all. was famished... then after that, we're full to the max. my stomach got bloated by water. turned out my dish was pretty spicy. but i was too hungry so i didn't really noticed it. hehe. and after that, we went grocery shopping and back to friend's place.
when we came back, the air-con was still on. gosh. i forgot to turn it off! felt so bad to my friend. )=
overall, today was one hell of a day. gotta go to church tml, for the so-called "end of the world" may be pretty near already...

wl week,
today is the day that i will be leading worship in oikos. songs: Still and Beautiful Saviour. i am still not very used in this field, frankly i'm scared. firstly, i scared that people will not cooperate. this is what i've noticed- that the guys don't open their mouth to sing. come on man. don't just be a spectator, but be a participator. i don't like it when people don't appreciate what you do. it's real rude for them to sit there and not appreciate. but i hope today, as the songs are both old, they will sing along with the music, played by jinsern tonight.
besides that, it was drizzling when i was out. w/o an umbrella. was about to curse under my breath before it simmered down. thank God, it lasted for only few minutes. went for my introduction to practical today. it did not last for 6 hours as i thought it would. since it's just some introduction session, it lasted for about an hour or less. so basically we sat down on the provided chairs and listened to the coordinator to introduce the staffs/prac demonstrators involved in the following weeks' pracs and also she explained the content of the subject and expectations. gosh. i hope i can excel in this one. looks like it's quite a challenge and real pain in the neck. 6 hours??? get a life. sounds boring right. how can a prac last for half a day?
after the session, went to make copies of the song list that i printed out last night @ballieu. then, now back home. waiting for my dear friend to finish her prac as well so that i can place my stuffs @her place as i'll be sleeping over tonight after oikos. her house is real cool it's got international cable, air con and a real cool study table. i told her i would definitely want to stay in such a place. and today is the day! (=
ok that's sthg that i can't wait.
next saturday, zel and i are planning to hold a bbq @her place Milano for the biomedders. we're gonna watch lots of dvds @the mini theatre and hang out. that's sthg i'm looking forward too! i will definitely bring a camera.

so what happens now?

okay. a week passed. and i am in melb alr.
school has been going for four days now. luckily for me, i only got 14 hours contact time every week, unlike the 21 hours last semester. i can really feel the difference. but i know, there are lots of self-revision to do. the lecturers talk really fast and monotonously. so i guess i am pretty much left to my own initiative to further deepen my understanding of the subjects. and the way is lots of lectopia plus read textbooks. yawns. i feel sleepy alr talking abt all these. i really miss the holidays when i have nothing to do. now i've got so much to do.
oikos was on that friday when i reached. lots of newcomers came which was refreshing. but i miss all those that were not there. like valerie, ilona, melissa, byron and tiffany. =( anyway, we had han guk guan for dinner. then met brother in the city to do groceries. friday night is really terrible. girls wear all sorts slutty dresses and most guys look super2 drunk. one even vomitted literally everywhere at the tram stop. it's disgusting and stank!
saturday, my brother and i had lunch with ming2 our cousin. we also managed to take a look at his apartment Unilodge before that. it was a studio but enough for one person. after lunch at Bismis Golden Fork, we walked to DFO. ming2 kept complaining abt the hot weather but i rejoyced under the sun. cause i want to maintain my tan! seriously here in melb, we don't get much sun. we're pretty much all draculas? especially during winter. it's sad case. i bought shampoo in the end and stopped by Coles too for some groceries.
sunday went to bridge church. bumped into xinyue but she was busy so we couldn't talk. also byron and hilda. apparently they have been attending the church during the hols. oh well, the church is really inspiring and motivational i should say. honestly speaking, better than my church. but what to do, i want to stay in an indo community right. so i chose POJ. anyway then we walked all the way to Ikea from the church cause we thought it's a walking distance. turned out we're wrong. we almost thought we got to the wrong direction. when finally we found it, PHEW! in the end, we bought lots of stuffs and had to take a cab home. then after that, tahnee and i went for grocery shopping.
during the weekend, i do lots of spring cleaning. it was so dusty everywhere in my room. so i vacuumed and wiped all the dirt/dust. now of course, it's so much tidier than when i come in. and more hygienic? i believe all those cleaning is also a form of exercise for me and it's for my own good anyways. i can't expect my brother to do that because seriously, girls care more about tidiness than guys. guys can survive even amongst all their dirty clothes but not us. well, maybe not all guys. just generally speaking.
oh and what happened to the rice cooker that's been accidentally left with rice and water in it for 3 whole months? black fungi grew in the rice pot and the stench took over our whole apartment room. my brother who came back first to melb described so, also added 'smell like shit' comment. LOL funny story. it was all my fault for being so forgetful.
oh ya and my fringe grows longer that i have to use hairband now. still not used to it but i'm sure someday i will. and i have to cut my hair soon too.
so far, i went for most classes in school! (as you can see, i am really proud of myself.) truely, i am impressed with myself. last semester was disaster. this semester, i made a promise to myself to not skip class. i have learnt my lesson. my results for last semester is crap CRAP CRAP. this year my aim for overall result: 85! say Amen to that! (=
met up with most of my friends already. i don't have 10 plus people that i'm close too so met up with them all within few days. i think if you're close to just one person in school it's good enough. plus i still got church friends, trinity friends and random people that i bumped too and we began talking. LOL that's me. i can be super hyperactive at times. but i can never predict when. as i said in facebook' "i don't like to define myself. i would like to think myself as unpredictable." fair enough. so don't blame me if i'm not being myself. every one of us got their ups and downs. moments of major breakthroughs. unexpected moments. now that's what i like. i don't want to just go through mundane life. i like discovering new things about myself. maybe you too.
ok too much talking. i better start going to the gym now. then i will be off to the library for some revision with tiny tahnee. hehe that's what val and i used to call her with.
