mum just called. told me i shouldn't bring too much to PDG. (she meant my "rubbish".)
erica reminded me again to get her the book that i'd promised (my intention of asking her is actually not for real, just a casual ask...but she didn't realise the fact.) what she surprised me the most is that, she's still so young but her memory is damn good. i thought she'd forgotten about it. cause she really sounded tired and unfocused when she's talking to me. tsktsktsk. how kids can be unpredictable sometimes. but this only makes me love my cute sister even more! hahaha. maybe we are going out tomorrow but not sure. see how thing goes. lalalalalala~

1 book in 1 day! >.<
sigh...this holiday is taking my forever... the internet went down the whole of wednesday. the weather was so horrible; heavy rain plus strong wind.
i stayed at home the whole of thurs. except when Eric and i went out for lunch, then to BigW and i had to meet the housekeeping lady at Arrow. apart from that, nothing. unless you call slacking, spacing out, sleeping, eating Indomie, reading 'Size 14 is not fat either' something.
and i read the book til the last page! a book in one day. wow i've never done this before. that is how bored i was. and partly because the book was kinda interesting and intriguing. keeps you wanting to read more and more. addictive? isn't it obvious? (hmm...what should i read next?)
but today, i wasn't slacking at all. thank God. i managed to go IKEA with brother Eric and we ate that Swedish meatballs!!! *satisfying even when i only ate 3* (: because of complications, i ended up having lamb steak on my plate. thanks to the asian dude that was serving at that time. i am pretty sure it wasn't my fault; i pointed at the chicken steak not the lamb. Eric later told me that he thought the dude is Indo; accent-wise.
after the dreadful lamb steak, we bought the stuffs that we needed, such as shoe rack, laundry basket, containers, etc. then we asked for delivery at the counter and so we were spared from carrying all that humongous, plastic boxes all the way back to the city. with a fee of $25. not too bad right? gave us convenience to stop by EB Games shop to buy some games. (:
i closed my eyes on the tram back to the city. my head felt dizzy. no idea why. and there's this guy who's smoking inside the tram. i told Eric to move to the front (we were at the back) to avoid secondhand-smoking and worsened headache.
right now, i am waiting for 6 o'clock to come and i will be meeting Val and Sal there. they're practicing christmas drama for church there. i wanted to see what it's about so i decided to go there and watch before cell group later tonight. most probably after cell group, i will head home and rest as i have to wake up early tomorrow to meet the 'carpet guy' and IKEA deliverymen.
i am so proud of myself today for being smart; i take down the business number on the carpet service van as it drove past our tram on our way to IKEA. i did not understand why i did that. Eric actually told me not to. but i did it anyway. it was when i called Arrow maintenance guy and he told me that he wasn't able to do it because their machine had spoiled, that i instantly called the carpet guy's number. he missed call me. i called him back and he said he could do the cleaning for me. yay~ (: Hallelujah! but he could only do it tomorrow. so what about the agreement with Tania that i should return the keys to her by today 6pm. looks like we have to delay it. again. hopefully she doesn't mind.
feel so sleepy now. wanna sleep wanna rest wanna go home (home meaning Padang, duh.)!!! (:

more of the bad week ):
(sorry had to leave so suddenly just now. didn't want to be late cause it was already a made-up appointment.)
last Thurs i stayed at home whole day. was intending to prepare for my sharing in oikos. but in the end, i did other random stuff and maybe moved. so i achieved total of zero preparation progress. ):
val called at night, asking how i was doing. so nice of her to do that. if not for her encouragement and suggestions, i wouldn't have the confidence to share that Friday. i chatted with Sally and told her that i wasn't prepared. i asked her whether it's bad and she said yes. great. she just made me feel worse. ): but i trust in the Lord and believed i can. (:
on Fri, i woke up late as always in this holiday season, except on special occasions. i checked my e-mail box and went onto POJ website. listened to ko Iwan's sermon for the Sunday that i didn't attend. unfortunately the wrong recording was uploaded. hence i looked up my iTunes library and looked for any relevant sermon. got Pastor Kong's sermon on a piece of paper and read through it once more before getting ready for oikos.
i came late. blame it on me. the blur queen. i read Sal's message wrongly. City Gate becomes City Point. must be all that anxiety building up as the clock ticked towards 7pm. met William and Surya on the tram and they kinda encouraged me. told me i can do it. (: i believed God sent them to me that day.
in the end, i preached for 2 hours! (: was in awe of what God had done through me that night! hallelujah!
was i scared or nervous? definitely. i am lying if i denied that. i even asked ko Bp to pour me a cup of water! lol. i was like thirsty at every second. however, i put my fear onto the Lord and i totally am grateful and happy that i shared that week. feels really really great to be used by the Lord. (: i received many praises from Jinsern, Sally and Tito etc. felt really nice. we ate ice-cream too at ko Bp's house. yay!
then we ate dinner at Blue Sky. wasn't that hungry actually but just decided to come along. in the end, i ordered just a glass of ice milk tea. (love it!)
on Sat, i went to ScienceWorks with Tito, Sheila, ko Mar, ko Arwin, Valerie, William and Surya. it was like putting random people into one group and we were supposed to get along. at first, it's really hard to have fun with them. much awkwardness was around. and yet, all of us were still able to take up the courage and brought up conversations with one another. nice. (: i believed we become much closer and comfortable with one another through this outing together.
it was really funny that William found 2 $2 coins, 1 20cents coin and 1 10cents coin in the vending machine. William allowed me to buy with it Pepsi drink and himself too. hehe. (; ko Arwin displayed his knowledge at the "Imagination Factory". he explained to me how stuffs work etc. really great that he's there if not i would just not appreciate anything in there at all. all just a bunch of rusty gears and pulleys and machines? =.= our last stop was the Planetorium. i have to admit that i love it! (: i wonder how come ko Arwin and Valerie could sleep through it. it's too cool to be missed! and i paid 5 bucks ok! lol. (:
it was raining so heavily when we came and left. so heavy that ko Mar's umbrella wasn't functioning anymore. it was completely ruined. i was laughing my way to the train station just looking at the state of his umbrella. HAHAHA!!! and he gave up holding it over his head halfway and the rain was heavily draining him all over...
i slept all the way back to Melb Ctrl station. then i went back home to rest. forgot what i did that night. =.=
met Sal and Val on Sunday for church. Sal told me to help her translate at the back of the room. i think i did not help much. so difficult. listening to Pastor Barnabas and her at the same time. i couldn't even focus for the entire service.
then we ate at Mama Sichuan cause Big Mama was closed on Sundays! so lazy!!! ): there were Pauline, Ronald, Vincent, Steven, Sally and Valerie.
after that, we girls and Ronald took the tram to Bourke St Myers store. we bought ci Intan a notebook from the Oxfam Shop. it sells Trade Fair stuff. isn't that wonderful? gosh. it sure makes you feel like spending is not a sin. (: that night, i had actually promised Sally to watch Twilight with her, Val, William and Jinsern. but then when night came, Eric asked me to help move house. i just felt so tired after that. i told Sal i couldn't make it and she said i cannot not go because the ticket was purchased alr. so i kinda dragged myself to Melb Ctrl but the moment i saw them, i just felt really happy to be there with them. good thing i went. if not, i would be at home rotting. and to miss that movie would be sth worth regretting for.
on Monday, i went out with Fuihan to eat lunch together. the place is called Ramen Ya. i am so thankful i have a friend who knows so many new places to eat. haha. so this place has great Ramen supposedly. but i ate their bento. both tasted great. however the price is a bit over the norm. then we shopped at Diva and Sportsgirl. i bought like 2 rings for $10. a minibag for $35. met my brother Eric and shopped at DFO. i tried to get the white long shirt that she wanted at Country Road but there's none left. so i bought a bag for school and scarf instead. (: it was so fun i tell you. shopping is always my ultimate stress-relief! (: nothing beats that.
also we went to Myer cause Fuihan wanted to buy Ralph Lauren for her friend back in M'sia. unfortunately, there wasn't any ladies wear. so we walked to Collin Street to their main department store. an Indo guy attended to Fuihan. he was really metro. like the way he moved and talked and walked and stopped. you know. it's all of it. so obvious. hmm. is it only metro guys that will work in these kind of high-class stores? why?
Tuesday i went out with Fuihan again to the market in the morning and then to eat lunch in the city. Jap food again! (: *woots* i ate Unagi Bento. yumm...
then, we went to QV cause Fuihan wanted to get wine for her mother. but couldn't find any so we headed back home. i stayed at her place until 7pm. was entertained by her cheena housemates. they're so funny! (: and yesterday was the last time we had to move from Arrow! finally~ (:
today i woke up at 1pm? yep. hehe. exhausted from many days of fun fun fun! (: gave our ex-neighbour back her stuffs. turned out she wasn't alone. there's this another guy who came with her and immediately i recognised him. we shook hands and he said he thought he saw me somewhere before. i admitted i felt the same way too. lol. but we couldn't figure out where and when. haha. how small this world is! it was awkward at some point of time. cause i didn't know what else to say and they're like not making any conversation. i thought they'd just take their stuff and leave. so why weren't they asking me for their stuff? they just stood there and not make a move. i had to be the one to show them their stuff and you know, signalled for them to go? well, not in an obvious sense of course. that'd have been very rude. at half past 5pm, i went to Arrow to help Tania's friend view our apartment. there was not only one, but three of them. luckily i asked Eric to come along. so many of them! it's sad that they came when the house was still dirty. but they seemed to really like the place anyway. (:
bought food at Nasi Padang. had to wait for quite a while before someone appeared at the counter. the lady serving was really nice. man...i really miss padang food and the people (even the bad and the good).
watched Million Dollar Baby using the xbox. love it! (:

last monday, i stayed at home the whole day. i think. forgot what i did.
tuesday...went to eat dinner with Sal, Val and Herman at Oriental Spoon. (: yay! korean food!!! (i have been really into Kor and Jap food these past weeks.) turned out Jinsern and family were there too. i chatted really a lot with Herman, which is good. we hardly had the time to talk one to one. the oikos should do more of this kind of gathering so that we can all connect better. anyways, after the meal, all of them helped me move. i could tell they were all tired and yet, they were willing to help me. how nice are they! (: felt so blessed with them all.
then i stayed over at Sal and Val's place. we all watched Pathology together. quite a sick movie. lots of killing- mass murdering.
the next morning, i woke up at 1pm plus. we stayed at home most of the time in the afternoon. got nothing to do. but in the afternoon, we went Laguna to buy ingredients to make chocolate balls. Val taught us how. it's easy! just need Regal biscuits, choco rice, butter and choco condensed milk. as simple as ABC! (:
then at night, Val studied for her McDonald quiz while i joined Sally to watch Juno. a really nice show. then we watched The Break-Up next.
the next day, we met ci Intan and her housemate Lida for lunch. we cooked at Grattan hse. unfortunately, i had to leave first to meet Eric to get our internet (which has stopped working for my room) from AINS. it's something i have not heard of before. but we got it anyways. it was really fast. on that same day, the internet is accessible from our home! wow.
i came back to Grattan and the food was done! wow. all i had to do was eat. haha. thanks guys. it's really delicious.
then we made dumplings. i even brought a box home! (: watched Juno again with all of them cause many hadn't watched it before.
oops... time for me to meet someone! will write later on.

Brighton Beach and Mt Dandenong trips!
it was close to a perfect day on the beach. (Brighton Beach) except that there weren't any colourful houses that i wanted to see, the weather was freaking hot!, i didn't bring an extra shirt so that i could be totally submerged in the water.
but apart from that, it was great!
we managed to get a suntan (yay~). Fuihan and i lay on the sand for about 30 minutes. we planned to get a tan. as for Zoey, she was covered with a towel from head to toe. for sure, she didn't want any tan marks. she had to be in the water most of the time to avoid the sunlight!
i forgot to bring my undies. so i wet my dry pants... ): i couldn't sit on the tram and bus on the way home. was fanning my pants to let it dry faster. haha.
we spent about 2 hours plus on the beach and then went to IKEA. actually was feelin' a bit tired and sleepy (probably because of the weather top 30 degrees) but went shopping anyway. i felt so much more awake after walking around IKEA. (: i want to go there again someday before i go back to Singapore!
we took pictures with the giant Santa there too. felt like a kid once more. (: IKEA is a really great place to destress i reckon.
i had so much to carry back home that i actually wanted to ask for delivery. 25 bucks. but Fuihan said she would help to carry some so i didn't waste any money. in the end, it was Zoey that carried the stuffs for me cause she didn't have anything to carry. (: thanks Zoey!
when i got back home, i used a luggage to carry all the things from IKEA to CH. it was so much easier. hehe. (:
then at night, i went for my oikos. we ate pizza for dinner at Roselyn's place. i love her place. so cosy and luxurious. i wanna a home like that too!!!
after oikos, ko Arwin drove Sal, Val, Jinsern and i to Brunetti's to get a cake for Peter. we ate ice cream there after that and chatted. i felt so happy that time hanging out with Sally and Valerie again. it's been a long time since we last chatted.
then Sally and Jinsern walked me home and also, came up to my house with me to see my new apartment. Sally said it was quite good. duh. i think it's much better than Arrow's, except for the horrible view of red-bricked wall. ): Jinsern played a game of Kungfu Panda as of using the xbox. it's boring and yet he still played it for quite a long time. lols. while he played, Eric and i told Sally about our siblings and childhood memories. (: made me wanna go back even sooner to meet my family.
they all went back at around 1:30am and we all have to meet up the next day at 9? arghhh. so little sleep for me.
woke up with a tired body, mind and spirit early that morning. we gathered at Melbourne Uni tram stop. almost all of our oikos members were there, except for those who went overseas for holidays and Herman (woke up late).
we took a tram to Pete's place. brought him the birthday cake and fruits. when we first saw him, he looked really sick. his moustache and beard weren't shaved and his shirt hadn't been changed for a long time i reckon. he just looked so unwell. and maybe he hadn't bathed for days (his hair is oily). poor Pete! hope he get well soon. so that he can laugh and joke again. (: he also kinda invited us to his BBQ at night. but i think none of us was free to come. it seemed that all of us had plans for that day. ): i could tell that Pete was disappointed and i wished i could come to his birthday BBQ if i didn't have plans for that day. ):
After the surprise visit, i went back home to shower first. then took a nap because i was really emotionally tired and stressed for many many unexplainable reasons that i am too lazy to list them down here. met Val at CH and we took a tram which Tina was on to have lunch together. i hadn't a clue as to where we're going until i reached the place. it was down Exhibition St. a Mongolian BBQ buffet. Tina seemed to know a lot of people there. most of them are Indonesians. it seemed like there's an exhibition going on. there were Artistry's products on display and for sale on one side of the room. the rest were filled with tables and chairs and people crowding around them, eating and chattering away. it kinda felt like a wedding celebration to me. oh and many of our church friends were there. (:
the food was really interesting. this was what we had to do:
1. selecting the meat and putting it onto our bowl (chicken, lamb, pork and beef).
ko Harry told us to take more because all these frozen food would shrink when cooked.
2. go to the veges section and add those of your choice in.
3. add the seasonings in and presto! it's ready to be cooked by the chef (who is hopefully Mongolian).
you know i'm so sick of all these fake chefs. there's a Minang resto here in Melb. but none of the staffs are actually from Padang. grr. felt so cheated.
4. ring the bell to let the chef know that your food is ready to be cooked.
doesn't that sound interesting to you? and it's a buffet. so you can do that multiple of times. cost 15 bucks that day because of the exhibition. (:
Tina and i bought identical necklace that i think is really cool. oh and this lipgloss that's really really cute. there's 4 different shades that you can choose from to apply onto your lip. isn't it cool. both cost a total of 52 bucks and i felt so happy. turned out it's not only a place to eat but to shop! haha.
ci Michelle told me something shocking while we were eating and talking. she said even though she's a Biomed graduate, her pay if she were to work in a Biomed-related job is lower than a random admin job that has got nothing to do with what kind of degree you're holding. now the future seemed more bleak than before. ):

Mt Dandenong was alright. however, it rained when we got there. so really, there wasn't a place for us to have our supposed meeting. all the people visiting the mountain had filled up the cafe and we were forced to cancel the meeting. Val, Sal and i ordered hot chocolate. i really like it. sweet and warm. (:
then for the whole time we were in Dandenong, what we did is take pictures. narcist mode: on. (:
we found out that there's a maze there too. but it was closed. sigh. it sure would be fun to explore the maze.
we went Safeway at Boxhill but i bought nothing. i felt really really tired that time. wasn't in the mood for grocery shopping.
for dinner, we ate at Boxhill. i forgot what's the resto name. but i remembered we ate extremely a lot!
i closed my eyes for the trip back home. too tired to say a thing while all of them chatted excitedly.
when i got back home, Eric was waiting for me to go Safeway. when i told him i didn't want to, he looked disappointed. i took my bath and thought, Hey maybe i should go Safeway. so we went and bought much food. (: so happy.
as for today, i woke up at 12pm. and this is my first time not going church on a Sunday in Melb. what's wrong with me? i have no idea. i just felt so so so lazy. ): and yesterday i decided to go AOG instead of POJ. huh. God, please tell me why i am feeling this way and help make this feeling go away.
recently, my relationships with friends are not as good too. many of the people that i am comfortable with have flew overseas. ): i felt so terrible sometimes. i wanna go back singapore or padang just to be with the close ones and have fun!
i am planning to stay home today most of them as i had been going out almost everyday this week. but as usual, there's always reasons to go out everyday, even today when i don't want to do anything big.
1. eat dinner (cause we don't have food to cook)
2. Eric asked me to go with him to Big W to buy kitchen knife and weights for his workout.
3. gonna blog again about my terrible mood today and watched movies online.
there's no internet yet in my new apartment at CH. so i felt really bored most of the time. but i did nothing to change that fact. just lazy and tired. i know i shouldn't. but i also know that if i don't allow myself some time for myself, i will break down. and that wouldn't be a nice feeling to have.
hoping for a miracle to happen. something or someone to lift my spirit up again. i need it desperately!
hope CHRISTMAS can come sooner to brighten up my day! (:
but apart from that, it was great!
we managed to get a suntan (yay~). Fuihan and i lay on the sand for about 30 minutes. we planned to get a tan. as for Zoey, she was covered with a towel from head to toe. for sure, she didn't want any tan marks. she had to be in the water most of the time to avoid the sunlight!
i forgot to bring my undies. so i wet my dry pants... ): i couldn't sit on the tram and bus on the way home. was fanning my pants to let it dry faster. haha.
we spent about 2 hours plus on the beach and then went to IKEA. actually was feelin' a bit tired and sleepy (probably because of the weather top 30 degrees) but went shopping anyway. i felt so much more awake after walking around IKEA. (: i want to go there again someday before i go back to Singapore!
we took pictures with the giant Santa there too. felt like a kid once more. (: IKEA is a really great place to destress i reckon.
i had so much to carry back home that i actually wanted to ask for delivery. 25 bucks. but Fuihan said she would help to carry some so i didn't waste any money. in the end, it was Zoey that carried the stuffs for me cause she didn't have anything to carry. (: thanks Zoey!
when i got back home, i used a luggage to carry all the things from IKEA to CH. it was so much easier. hehe. (:
then at night, i went for my oikos. we ate pizza for dinner at Roselyn's place. i love her place. so cosy and luxurious. i wanna a home like that too!!!
after oikos, ko Arwin drove Sal, Val, Jinsern and i to Brunetti's to get a cake for Peter. we ate ice cream there after that and chatted. i felt so happy that time hanging out with Sally and Valerie again. it's been a long time since we last chatted.
then Sally and Jinsern walked me home and also, came up to my house with me to see my new apartment. Shopping at DFO + Horror movie night + sushi day!
went on a shopping spree yesterday at DFO (direct factory outlet) with Fuihan. it was so much fun hunting for cheap yet nice clothes. in the end, i bought Sportsgirl's shorts, Cotton On's baju monyet (jeans), Country Road's tank tops and long shirt, and many more to list. i spent a surprising $100 only! i wanna wear all these clothes here in Melbourne! (:
then went to Supre and bought a brown thin belt and half shirt? lols. we were so so so exhausted at the end of the day but happy of course. this is one way i destress myself.
after i got home, Fuihan followed me home and helped me move. it took me almost two hours to pack the rest of my clothes that were left in the house. next, we packed my cupboard and bought pizza with zoey later. it was sooo fulling. we got seafood and chicken.(: yum yum yum for the chicken. the seafood one tasted so bland. ):
the horror movie that we first watched was the suicide club. then decided to watch Shutter instead. then got bored and watched The Ghost Game instead. Thai horror movie is the best! that was my second time watching actually. but it was still scary as hell. ): we got scared until i needed Eric to accompany me walk to College House.
when i slept, it was already 4am...
woke up at 8am for the toilet. had a natural emergency calling. hihi.
continued on to my sleep...
finally woke up at 12pm. didn't manage to go to Vic market with Azmina and Fuihan. requested Fuihan to get me banana.
she came at 12:30pm to give it to me and also her library books. there were three thick books! freaking heavy.
took my shower and straightened my hair. walked to the school library with my long overdue statistic book and Fuihan's. i never thought of taking the tram. how silly of me! hopefully i don't shrink after today...
Eric came back home and started playing XBox. i took a nap and went dinner with my brother at Minang Resto. met Sally and her brother Steven on the way! Steven was getting his hair cut. lol. what a coincidence. sister and brother walking around. hehe. anyway, the lady at the counter was really friendly. unfortunately she's not from Padang either. i was also told that the chef wasn't from Pdg either. i felt cheated. but still, we bought food back home. the ikan pedes, kangkong and pregedel. hihi. (:
met Fuihan to buy the ingredients for sushi at Korean Asian Grocery opp Vic market. and we also went to the other Korean grocery at another street. i realised there's so many Korean groceries around Vic market.
and we bought ice cream!
made sushi at Fuihan's place from 9 to 12am. it was fun at first. but then got tired at last. Fuihan's housemates helped us make it too. (: hihi. very nice of the guys to help. we also learn how to make nicer sushi from them. wah. really surprised me how guys can be better than girls at cooking. is it by instinct for them?
we ate the durian we bought from Asian grocery too. got sick of it after eating two pieces. one of the housemate named No hated the smell and he had to close his nose when he's out of his room. lol. interesting housemates room 877 have! (: fun combination.
at the end of the day, we made Sushi and riceballs. (: ready for tomorrow! hopefully it doesn't rain!!! (: pls pls pls. have to bring camera. if not ain't fun no more.

Australia hip hip hooray!!!~
i still can't believe i tagged Eric to go along with me to take neoprint today!!! at first he was a bit reluctant but he followed anyway. cost us AUD 14.00! but definitely it's worth it! it's for memory's sake! (: when else can i ask him to do that. oh zel called me when she reached singapore this morning. so nice!!!then we went to eat at PANCAKE PARLOUR for brunch. (: he likes it. and we took lots of pictures! narcist mode: ON.
before Eric had class, we shopped at the Reject Shop just outside the restaurant. we bought christmas surprises for our family and friends. (: hehe. surprise surprise! can't wait for christmas to arrive. but my christmas eve will be spent on the plane though. so sad. ): but happy to see friends and family in singapore for holiday!!! teehee.
got back home by tram and realised that my key wasn't with me. it's still in the house! so i called fuihan (kinda woke her up) and she pressed the lift for me. stayed there and talked until 5pm plus. she made for me fried rice (not white rice but mixed grain rice. so healthy... =.=) with egg and spring onion. it's really healthy. then i played PS2- crash n metal slug. haha. so nice of the boys to let me use theirs. then we snacked on milo and timtam. hehe. then played guitar and then sang songs. what a fun afternoon it turned out to be! (: oh and Denny from church called me before he flew back to Solo. so weird.
anyway, then at 5:30pm, i went with Shierlla to buy our movie tickets Australia. there's only 5 of us who went. little than what we expected. oh wells. the movie turned out to be good. i would love to say it's Awesome, but sorry. it was too long... 3 hours and i fell so sleepy during the movie. i ate Boysenberry choc-top and had sprite! (:
after the super longggg movie, we went to eat at Dessert House. i ordered Spicy Chicken Wings and fries and salads. just a snack. since i also wasn't feeling too hungry. Shierlla too! (: Jinsern came to join us shortly before we ended our little dinner together. He actually wanted to follow Herman play computer at Verve but Herman left already so he didn't go in the end. Sally went with him to Mckers to get his dinner.
we saw Ko Andy when we walked back home. then we teased him on the way about Sharon having stayed at their place for now. *ehm* ko... and he almost jewer (indo lang) Valerie and i. (:
actually Valerie and Sally were supposed to come tonight to help me move my stuff to College House. but didn't in the end, cause it was drizzling. so we decided to move tomorrow morning instead. (: i was tired too. really sleepy after the movie.

saturday picnic and kimberly's farewell dinner!
got up early at 8:30am. reached Grattan House (val and sal's place) at 9:45am. thought i was late but turned out i was early. in fact, i was the first to arrive. (:
sally was still half-awake-half-asleep when i entered her room to use her nail polish remover. she got up as soon as i told her it's very late.
ko Mario came shortly after, with his fried resoles. (: he said he woke up at 5:30am to cook it. so touched.
he did most of the fried rice while the rest of us (plus Anthony, Valerie, Sally, Tina) helped prepare the sushi. it was such an enjoyment filling up the sushi with crabmeat or tuna and cucumber and rolling it up. but it was also tiring. we ate up all the sushi that were not good-looking. at the end of the day, we were so sick of sushi!!! lol.
mum missed-call me five times. i really missed her a lot.
ko Iwan came with ko Robert and Samuel. Sally, me, and the three of them sat into his car while the rest took ko Mario's car. the ride was rather silent. i guess we were just too tired. (:
we reached earlier than the others at Flagstaff Garden. the wind was blowing so strongly and it seeped through my elbow-length jacket. brr... Sally and I were left to look after the sushi and table, while the guys drove away to buy drinks. not long after, ci Lina and Nadia came. Nadia gave me her sushi. it's tempura. really really nice. (: because it's so cold, Sally and i decided to go back to our home to take thicker jacket. we walked from the garden until Swanston st. halfway, Sal saw a taxi crashing onto a car. there wasn't any sound or noise. weird. then we saw the drivers blaming one another for what happened.
went to Grattan house first to take the jacket. then waited for 10 minutes for Sally to recharge her phone. i read her Cosmopolitan magazine while she rested on the bed. i didn't know how sexually-informative that magazine is. but i think we are too young to be reading that. unsuitable i would say. some of the stories or articles are irrelevant to the life we are living in in our 19 years of age.
then we hurried to my house to get the tape that Val said she needed. was shocked to find Eric in the house!
when we reached the garden, it was 4pm alr. everyone was asking how come we arrived so late. i just didn't realise that time flies by so quickly.
the resoles was all gone when we arrived (anyway we ate one each already at grattan house). only the sushi and fried rice were left. so i just ate those. then later someone spilled light soya souce on my feet by accident. then ci Lina was so kind to pass me some wet tissue and dry tissue paper to clean my feet. i felt so attended for. (: was blessed.
i didn't talk to all the new comers. just some. Val's English course friend and his friend, Albert and Olive. they were really nice and friendly so it ain't that hard. (:
later everyone was gathered together and split into two groups to play games. yay! we played James Bond 007, pass the thing on and Trinity drama story. everyone in our group had a good laugh! they were so creative! (: what a fun group i was in! it is indeed a successful picnic today!
i went back with Sally, Paulina and her two friends to the city. i was supposed to meet FuiHan and Kimberly at Arrow at 6:30pm but Sally asked me to accompany her to Melbourne Central to shop for Byron and Tina's b'day (tomorrow) presents. unfortunately, all the shops were closed. so we went to QV. turned out it's also closed so we went to Myers. we saw lots of very nice present to give but they're all over the budget line. ): so we didn't get anything for them yet cause the shop was closing and we weren't sure of what to get for them. too many things, too little money.
met FuiHan and Kimberly at YAMATO resto. it's in the same alley as Daichin Sichuan resto. Kimberly brought a friend named Felicia along. i didn't expect her to be there. but anyway she's fun and easy going. so the dinner today was awesome! we talked a lot and got to know each other better! (: plus the salmon steak that i ordered was good too. it was double fun! (:
after the meal, we went to Ten Rei's Green Tea house to eat. again. FuiHan said when she's happy, she will eat. i had bubble tea and crushed ice (ice kacang lookalike- share with FuiHan) with toppings of our choice. so damn full la!!!
after that, we went to Myers to see the Christmas display there. i actually saw it before but told Kimberly to look at it since she's going back tomorrow. turned out that there was a long queue for it and we had to queue for 20 minutes? but we managed to see it through til the end. there were also fire brigades there. i wonder what they're doing there. many children took pictures with the firemen and women. (: so cute. Melbourne city felt so lively tonight.
the real fun only began after that. we took pictures along the tramline along bourke street. there's very little tram so we were assured that we will be safe. however, the danger wasn't on the tram but the Melbournian being high at night. they saw us taking pictures and having fun so they crashed into our pictures! this happened not only once, but 3 times!!! crazy wild dudes. they even shouted to us, 'Welcome to Melbourne!' so friendly but dangerous too. haha. don't know what to do. we like just giggled when they said that. then i suggested that we posed like the model photos in front of sportsgirl glassdoors. and we really did it! it was so so fun! (:
then we walked to State Library and FuiHan and i got really high and camwhored so so much! Felicia and Kimberly were also asked ("forced") to join even though they seemed tired already. but can say we had loads of fun today.
from a simple dinner, it became a girls' night out! (:
i really felt the joy in Melbourne tonight. it made me feel really lucky to be here. (:
can't wait to see what God has in store for me tomorrow.

sally was still half-awake-half-asleep when i entered her room to use her nail polish remover. she got up as soon as i told her it's very late.
ko Mario came shortly after, with his fried resoles. (: he said he woke up at 5:30am to cook it. so touched.
he did most of the fried rice while the rest of us (plus Anthony, Valerie, Sally, Tina) helped prepare the sushi. it was such an enjoyment filling up the sushi with crabmeat or tuna and cucumber and rolling it up. but it was also tiring. we ate up all the sushi that were not good-looking. at the end of the day, we were so sick of sushi!!! lol.
mum missed-call me five times. i really missed her a lot.
ko Iwan came with ko Robert and Samuel. Sally, me, and the three of them sat into his car while the rest took ko Mario's car. the ride was rather silent. i guess we were just too tired. (:
we reached earlier than the others at Flagstaff Garden. the wind was blowing so strongly and it seeped through my elbow-length jacket. brr... Sally and I were left to look after the sushi and table, while the guys drove away to buy drinks. not long after, ci Lina and Nadia came. Nadia gave me her sushi. it's tempura. really really nice. (: because it's so cold, Sally and i decided to go back to our home to take thicker jacket. we walked from the garden until Swanston st. halfway, Sal saw a taxi crashing onto a car. there wasn't any sound or noise. weird. then we saw the drivers blaming one another for what happened.
went to Grattan house first to take the jacket. then waited for 10 minutes for Sally to recharge her phone. i read her Cosmopolitan magazine while she rested on the bed. i didn't know how sexually-informative that magazine is. but i think we are too young to be reading that. unsuitable i would say. some of the stories or articles are irrelevant to the life we are living in in our 19 years of age.
then we hurried to my house to get the tape that Val said she needed. was shocked to find Eric in the house!
when we reached the garden, it was 4pm alr. everyone was asking how come we arrived so late. i just didn't realise that time flies by so quickly.
the resoles was all gone when we arrived (anyway we ate one each already at grattan house). only the sushi and fried rice were left. so i just ate those. then later someone spilled light soya souce on my feet by accident. then ci Lina was so kind to pass me some wet tissue and dry tissue paper to clean my feet. i felt so attended for. (: was blessed.
i didn't talk to all the new comers. just some. Val's English course friend and his friend, Albert and Olive. they were really nice and friendly so it ain't that hard. (:
later everyone was gathered together and split into two groups to play games. yay! we played James Bond 007, pass the thing on and Trinity drama story. everyone in our group had a good laugh! they were so creative! (: what a fun group i was in! it is indeed a successful picnic today!
i went back with Sally, Paulina and her two friends to the city. i was supposed to meet FuiHan and Kimberly at Arrow at 6:30pm but Sally asked me to accompany her to Melbourne Central to shop for Byron and Tina's b'day (tomorrow) presents. unfortunately, all the shops were closed. so we went to QV. turned out it's also closed so we went to Myers. we saw lots of very nice present to give but they're all over the budget line. ): so we didn't get anything for them yet cause the shop was closing and we weren't sure of what to get for them. too many things, too little money.
met FuiHan and Kimberly at YAMATO resto. it's in the same alley as Daichin Sichuan resto. Kimberly brought a friend named Felicia along. i didn't expect her to be there. but anyway she's fun and easy going. so the dinner today was awesome! we talked a lot and got to know each other better! (: plus the salmon steak that i ordered was good too. it was double fun! (:
after the meal, we went to Ten Rei's Green Tea house to eat. again. FuiHan said when she's happy, she will eat. i had bubble tea and crushed ice (ice kacang lookalike- share with FuiHan) with toppings of our choice. so damn full la!!!
after that, we went to Myers to see the Christmas display there. i actually saw it before but told Kimberly to look at it since she's going back tomorrow. turned out that there was a long queue for it and we had to queue for 20 minutes? but we managed to see it through til the end. there were also fire brigades there. i wonder what they're doing there. many children took pictures with the firemen and women. (: so cute. Melbourne city felt so lively tonight.

being a worship leader on friday
woke up at 9am and met Val at 11am to buy the ingredients at Laguna. bought bread at Bread Top first. after that, Tina and William tegal met us and all of us went to ko Robert's house. turned out our chicken rot because our dear kokos forgot to put it in the fridge. we told them to throw it but ko Andy said that he wants to keep it for future use. or maybe donates it to Es Teler (the place where he works) eww. we made Tiramisu cake (Anthony taught us how to!). i know only then that it's not baked but frozen. we also made sandwiches, rice and chicken teriyaki. and prepared the crabmeat and cucumber for sushi tomorrow. altogether there's William tegal, Val, Roselyn, Melissa, Anthony, Sal and myself. the kitchen was so damn crowded. we had loads of fun! (:
today i realised how hard it is to be a WL. all this time, i was simply taking for granted all these WLs. thinking that this was all meant to be. but i've never realised how much effort they have to put in to lead the cell group in worship. that is until i become one.
it is not exactly my first time. once in NaCl. then another time in WWJD- my current cell name after its split.
it was awkward. damn awkward in the beginning. cause everyone was like so (what's the word) d.e.p.r.e.s.s.e.d
they looked weird! unusually different. then also the rain was pouring down halfway. the wind was frreezing me. the more i felt like it's just not my day.
first of all, i am already tired after cooking the whole day at val's place and also walking around the city to buy the ingredients. secondly, i am really really scared and nervous about becoming the WL. thirdly, all of us are feeling tired for whatever reason they have. fourthly, there so many newcomers today. why must it be today? ): why me?
Tina prayed for me and Tito (the guitarist) before we started the Praise n Worship. so kind of her. (:
and i believed her prayer has greatly boosted my confidence and faith and trust in the Lord for the Praise and Worship.
ok so in the beginning, i forgot to open in prayer. Sal and Val reminded me. so because of the rain, all of us had to move inside peter's house. (before, we were seated outside at his backyard. seated with plastic chairs. really really nice weather and view. clean fresh air!) so i prayed and we started singing. still i could feel the atmosphere being so tense. no one was really singing. except for Tito. but i continued to do what i think i ought to do and managed to lead the worship as best as i could have. (no holding back for God!) and after my 'King of Majesty' and 'From Inside Out' songs, (i prayed thrice in count) Tito said i did a good job. then my friends started to say the same thing too. Jin Sern even told me later that he's supposed to pray after my worship, but i did everything for everyone already! haha. God is good. i am so powerless and unable, but He helps me through it all. the storms in my life i began to slowly let Him take control. and by the end of the day, honestly, i felt really happy. i've accomplished something that i feared so so much. i've let go of my fear and learn to take God's hand and walk with Him. (: the feeling is indescribable. awesome awesome! it's a day that i will never ever forget. never.
the next time, i am leading worship. i am READY! no more worries. no more troubles. cause He will settle it for me. amin amin! (:
we took lots of pictures (narcist la), ate the bbq (thanks Tito, Anthony and Bill for their hard work) and played Wii. so fun! i played the bowling. got STRIKE on my first turn. well, what can i say, beginner's luck. haha.
went home at 11pm plus. before going back, i followed Valerie and Tina to Safeway. i need to buy fruits i realised. lychee, apples, grapes. oh and my Loreal shampoo! (:

preparing for saturday's picnic
went out this morning til afternoon with Sal, Val, Roselyn and Anthony.
woke up late (again) this morning.
and i am late for the meeting.
for the first half an hour, we discussed about the ingredients to be bought for the sushi, sandwich and fried rice.
seaweed, teriyaki chicken, mayo, cucumber, tomato, bread, ham, lettuce, medium grain rice, egg and sushi vinegar.
went to Aldi, Safeway and Asian grocery plus "The Reject Shop" for all that we need. felt so tired walking around the city.
so went back home to rest. Eric was playing the new xbox 360. he also borrowed from his friend some game too. wow. hopefully, my brother won't turn into a game freak. lol.
was supposed to move my stuff to CH. but i am just too lazy. just don't feel like doing anything today. or tomorrow. or saturday. or sunday. i love my bed so so so much! i want to be stuck on to it. to live in my own little world.
CRAZY CRAZY thought.
going to the gym later with brother. then to Mckers with Sally and Jinsern tonight. But i'm still not sure of whether to go or not. Feel so so so tired. ):
but i kinda am interested in watching Kris and Shafiq perform tonight at Arrow! (:

an unexpected wonderful day out~
what a fun day it has been!
God is really really good.
due to the construction of this wonderful blog (: i stayed up til 5am and woke up at 10am this morning. the time when ko robert was supposed to come! i still had time to shower. i met him downstairs at 11am and we chatted for around 30 minutes before i had to call azmina to wake her up. ko robert gave apple struddell and blueberry struddell. so so so nice of him. thanks koko. (:
so turned out azmina was really really sick. so she couldn't come along with us for lunch. poorthing. her voice really sounded raspy and laggy over the phone. get well soon my dear. drink lots of water!!! haha.
and i just heard from friends that it had been hailing with thunderstorm in melbourne twice! and there's ice cubes falling from the sky! OMGosh. what's happening to the world now??? Obama...do something for us! lols. (:
went vegetarian lunch with fuihan and zoey at Footscray. she googled it. "Bo De Trai" we tried to get the so-called famous imitated claypot lamb but it's sold out. boohoohoo. so we got the imitated sweet and sour pork, imitated fish and tofu with lemon grass and chilli. out of the three, only one was considerably good. the imitated fish! the rest was not that satisfying. especially the sweet and sour pork. bleh.
we had to rush cause fuihan and zoey were too stingy to spend their money on the full day ticket. therefore we are limited to three hours of travelling around the suburb. we went back Flinders Station and took tram 96 to Brunswick. after travelling for what seem like 20 minutes, we got lost. in the middle of the road. the sun was shinning so ever brightly and the heat got through my jeans and dark shirt. spent the next 30 minutes looking for a sign of Smith st.
this is my first time shopping at Brunswick. i was surprised at how nice our shopping turned out. i bought this dress for $30 and a sport tee for $15. and i've resisted so many temptations of buying more clothes. i really need clothes. or is this just a want not a need?
we walked all the way back home. but before that, we passed by our final exam venue- Royal Exhibition Building. there's a different feeling looking at it now (after all papers) than before. hang around on the front steps of the main opening doors and camwhored. (: a woman actually came running, asking us whether the hall was open. she lost her student card. she was panting and looked really sad and troubled. so sad. and yep. we camwhored until it started to drizzle. time to go home.
fuihan and i made plans to watch horror movie tonight at her place.
Eric called and said he wanted to go buy XBox 360 Pro at JB Hi-Fi. i accompanied him and i felt guilty of not asking our dad's permission first. ):
while we walked towards the tram stop, suddenly i heard Sal's voice shouting, "Mary!" instantly i recognise that it's Sally. when i walked towards her, she started asking me why i didn't contact her. then asked me to come together with them to eat. Was supposed to go watch the movie tonight but decided to go with them instead. i have no idea why i agreed in the first place. Was actually feeling tired already but felt really bad for not been hanging out with Tiff, Sal and Mel for so long. Sharon was there too, with cardboards in her hands. that reminds me of the stuff i need to move later on next week. Sally talked to Eric a bit and then he left. lols.
we ate at Il Saluti (???). pancakes, pastas and great great Italiano food. it's really really nice. at Smith st i think. i just realised that Tiffany is leaving for Jkt tomorrow morning. so it's a good thing i came. this is like a farewell dinner. (: well i am glad i came. cause if not, then i will be missing out on the fun and the good food! haha.
actually after the dinner, Nysia and i went to Tiff's place to prepare for her surprise birthday. sneaky sneaky us. (: so Sal, Mel and Tiff went to meet Tito while we were getting ready. while we waited, Herman taught us how to play a hand game. but didn't finish the game because Anthony told us to hide!
so we waited.
and waited.
waited...waited...waited...
still Tiff did not appear.
until after 20 minutes of waiting, finally she came and SURPRISE SURPRISE!
