This part of my life is called: Waiting.

I can't believe it's been almost 6 months that I haven't blogged. Where did that blogging spirit went to all those times? So much has happened since May and I'm glad Honours year is over now!!! *ecstatic*

It's that time of my life where changes are inevitable. And my patience for an answer to the next step in my life is being tested.

So what's new?
1. I applied to five medical universities in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide.
(3 of them still waiting for responses which should be given any time now...)

2. I found LOVE. <3 I have a boyfriend now! (ooooo so exciting!!!) we've only been LD-ing so far for soon-to-be 3 months on 7/8/11 Indo time and 8/8/11 Oz time. we are 4 hours apart from each other. so i always ended up sleeping late when we skyped at night. even so, I am happy doing it. I wish time freeze whenever we skype. I want to be in the same place with him so that I can understand him better and love him more. #awww)

3. I have been going for Hot Yoga classes regularly now. Tomorrow will be my 9th time! =) That's all I can update for now. It's already 2am plus here and I'm getting sleepy... Time to rest my sleepy eyes. =.=''

What can separate me now?

thrilled to be at HiSense Arena tonight for Hillsong ONE DAY Concert. it's a pity i couldn't go from the morning. but i'm just glad i made it for the night session. Hillsong Band is indeed awesome! just awesome. they are truly an inspiration. through their music (talents), they're bringing people closer to God. i too someday would like to have my own band and make music that is filled with praise and glory.

i went with my brothers and a friend. even though we left the house at 6.10pm, we could still make it to the place at 7.10pm. we even had time to eat take-away burger from HJ and walked 3 tram stations down to the venue from Flinders, all because the tram was too packed with people going the same place too! i'm glad we walked instead of taking the public transport because that gave me a chance to catch up with my friend about her life. magically, the concert started when we got seated. it should have started 10 minutes ago. it's as if God is waiting for us to arrive before the concert began! indeed, God shows favour to His children. (=

i have to say the concert hall was terrible though. our seating position was too high that it's scary. i might fall down if the person in front of me is not standing up. i'm serious. (well, it's too complicated to explain in words.) but apart from that, the music rocked!!! i believe our love towards Jesus is refreshed again tonight. thanks be to Hillsong band!

Pst Casey Treat gave a short sermon about VISION which i really really paid attention to. He stressed that having a vision is important. MY VISION IS WHAT I GET IN THE FUTURE. Don't let the world get the vision from being out of focus. how do you get a vision one may ask? the answer is to ask from God Himself and sometimes, to get a vision, it needs to be done away from the crowd (people who are keeping you blind). i am really pleased that God has already given me a vision and i am on the way to make it come true. God uses vision to bring people close to Him as well, which i very much agree on as well. i thank Him for the ministries and cell group that i'm now a part of, that i can learn to be selfless in serving the church and God. Hallelujah only be to God!

oh God, what would i do without You? You are the reason we are even alive today. every second of my days i long to be with You and also, to praise Your name.

tomorrow i'm gonna skype with him again. why do i feel anxious about it? oh God, please help me understand what i'm going through. 3 more days to my birthday, which means i will get older. his gift came first.

Abiding in the Law to experience God's grace.

was blessed today by the sharing that ko bp and ci siska gave. it's a real pity that this couple is leaving us in a week's time. they've been an incredible guidance to us all for the last few months that we had the oikos (cell group). today, the title of the message is to abide by the Law of God.
ko bp shared and he began by discussing about the following bible verse:
Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

ko bp then asked what else we should do to make right with God, looking at that verse. i blurted out, "Faith without works is dead." and little did i know the passage that he next gives talks much about Faith.

Galatians 3:1-29 Faith or Works of the Law 1 You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. 2 I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard? 3 Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh? 4 Have you experienced so much in vain— if it really was in vain? 5 So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard? 6 So also Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” 7 Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham. 8 Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you." 9 So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith. 10 For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” 11 Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because “the righteous will live by faith.” 12 The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, it says, “The person who does these things will live by them." 13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” 14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. The Law and the Promise 15 Brothers and sisters, let me take an example from everyday life. Just as no one can set aside or add to a human covenant that has been duly established, so it is in this case. 16 The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. Scripture does not say “and to seeds,” meaning many people, but “and to your seed,” meaning one person, who is Christ. 17 What I mean is this: The law, introduced 430 years later, does not set aside the covenant previously established by God and thus do away with the promise. 18 For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on the promise; but God in his grace gave it to Abraham through a promise. 19 Why, then, was the law given at all? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come. The law was given through angels and entrusted to a mediator. 20 A mediator, however, implies more than one party; but God is one. 21 Is the law, therefore, opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law. 22 But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe. Children of God 23 Before the coming of this faith, we were held in custody under the law, locked up until the faith that was to come would be revealed. 24 So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith. 25 Now that this faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian. 26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

hence i should abide in His Law so as to receive and understand God's grace upon my life. and when i boast, it should not be of me but of Him.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 He said to me, my grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Romans 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is- his good, pleasing and perfect will.

after his sharing, we had a major hunting for useful stuffs from ko bp and ci siska's boxes of unwanted stuffs. irony ey? they're going back for good so they are to throw all those unwanted stuffs. i found some really neat stationeries and hair-loss ointment. can't wait to try it on. ci siska said it works but she just couldn't stand the smell. i took 3 of them. one for me, two for my brothers. mind you, we don't exactly have the genetic for thriving hair. oh well. i am just glad i have hair at least. but who knows it can help right?

i am gonna turn in now. have to wake up early tomorrow. and i am super-uber excited for Hillsong 'One Day' concert tomorrow!!! WOOTS! i am bringing my friend and brothers with me. we are in for so much fun! (=

for You, it's gotta be worth it.

hello.
haven't been writing regularly. guess i'd lost that blogger spirit. but, i'm making an effort of a come-back at it again. all thanks to this book i've been reading called 'Becoming a Prayer Warrior'. i trust, what the book said, that journaling can help me remember the goodness of God in my life. instead of trusting my not-so-perfect brain memory, i choose to record each bit of my life in this blog and hopefully, i can give Him glory in all of my successes and deeds.
today, i did something out of my comfort zone. again. i was told to organize a prayer session for this church event of mine by a member from church. honestly speaking, i was so nervous about it that i prayed a lot on what i should do. and thanks to Him, it went well today. totally great! that's because i choose to be faithful instead of fearing that i might fail. i learn that if i choose to trust in Him, He won't disappoint me. that's just how great the God that i'm serving is!
aside from that, i am feeling tired from the weekend. i just want to shout to the world to stop the clock from ticking so fast! there's just so much to do in so little time!!! again God, please help me do this...
currently, i'm missing my family so much. gonna see them soon in late June for my uncle's wedding! can't wait!
night2!

a real encounter with God.

wow. i can't express how connected to God i felt during the sermon. it's not a revelation, "life-changing" experience sort of thing, but at least i know that God is with me wherever i go.

so this morning, i had yumcha with my brothers at chinatown. honestly speaking, i felt the need to have lunch with them since i am so busy for the whole week. not that i abandoned them, but i just got lots of commitments throughout the weekdays. hence when i was told by a friend that pastor kong was coming to melbourne, i asked them to come. they agreed. i was so pleased and i know that i know that i know that this is the time for me to bring my brother closer to God. indeed the service was powerful!!!

during yumcha, somehow the topic of God came up. and we even talked even more about it after yumcha and had bubble tea. then i had to leave for my dance practice. i met both them and my friend later to go to city life church. along the journey, we met really nice people who helped us to get to the church.

placed at Glen Waverley, city life church really has got loads of asians!! so many! i tink 80% of the congregation are actually asians. it really feels like a mini city harvest church. praise and worship was nice. then come to the sermon part, pastor mark conner (senior pastor of City Life Church) introduced Kong Hee to the church and Kong Hee preached about God's love...

the width: acceptance. the length: faithfulness. the height: loftiness. the depth: compassionate.

and in between his message, he talked about Jesus questioning God why He has been forsaken? (Matthew 27:46) anddddddddddddd this is what me and my brother stumbled upon during our talk in the day! it's like God is answering our question! so now, i know that God sometimes allow us to walk "alone" so that we can understand that God is with us. in fact, our God is never too far for us to reach out to. it's just that at times, we underestimate our God's authority and what He can do FOR US that we can't feel Him near. also during altar call, i wept since the longest time ever. i feel i'm releasing all my burden and worries about my life generally. i feel that my faith is renewed again in Him. also, i could feel God's presence in that place so real. so i poured out my heart. after crying, i felt so relieved. and hungry. so we set out to find a place to eat.

while discussing outside the church, a guy approached us and helped us to get back to the bus stop. we exchanged names and turned out he's from City Harvest Church in Singapore. then, at the bus stop, a girl heard us speaking about City Harvest Church and she popped into our conversation. apparently, she's from City Harvest Church too! they were both really friendly and so we talked during the bus ride to Glen Waverley train station. the guy's name is Andrew and he's doing 1st year in Commerce Melbourne Uni. the girl's name is Bettina and she's doing 3rd year in Public Relations & Marketing Monash Uni. and guess what?! they go to Bridge Church too, like us! actually i wanted my brother to exchange contact number with them, but guess maybe it's a bit too random so i didn't. well in the end, we parted ways.

for dinner, we ate at this Hot Pot restaurant. it was yummm! we ate til we had to stop cause our stomachs couldn't take it anymore. really nicee.

i thank Andreas for giving me the information of Pastor Kong's visit to City Life Church this weekend. it's made me experience God's wonderful presence again and awe at his wonders and mysteries in Kong's testimonies.

overall, today's really awesome! i am so blessed. truly am. i also would like to pray for Pastor Kong & his family & City Harvest Church. may he involve God in every step that he takes. may he make the right choices. peace be with him. amen.

may God continue to guide my every step. Psalm 32:8

mysteries of life.

hello. the holidays are here! actually for about 2 months now and this is the first time i've blogged since! so much has happened and i apologize for not updating them all. i will write as much as i can and as much as i can remember. (=

first of all, before anyone is about to read on this post of mine, i would like to say that this is gonna be one personal issue that i would be discussing tonight. this is just my private thought and anyone may disagree with them. but i will still put it down on this blogsite of mine. again, i will mention that this is my own private space for thoughts. it's up to anyone to read it or not.

it never occur to me so strongly in my mind before as to why some people get sick while not others. after watching 4 episodes of the popular Jap drama "1 litre of tears", i couldn't help but wonder why some disease choose to pick certain individuals. it's not like this topic or whatever explanation hasn't been said before by experts in the field (be it religiously or medically). but just that i haven't really thought about sickness myself yet. while watching one of the episodes, a thought passed through my mind that maybe, perhaps, by allowing people to be sick, God is showing others how fortunate they are and teach them to build up compassion and love with those who are less fortunate. this thought is simple, yet it has changed the way i look at disease/sickness now. and putting this matter into consideration, i want to bring forth this perspective into my future career being a medically-related worker. i am so glad i thought about this right before i start my honours degree and entering the workplace. (=

currently, my dream is simply to bring hope to those who are sick (whether curable or incurable) to not give up on their lives and have compassion and love towards them. oh God, i pray that if this is what you want my life to be, please let it happen. if not, then show me otherwise.

hence i am sealing this post with the above prayer and i place my future into Your Hands God.

bless us all!

p.s. my brother Arnaldo is accepted at Taylors College for February intake today! i am super happy for him!!! hopefully, he will excel and enter the best university. i can see that my mum and dad were really relieved to hear the good news. praise the Lord!
also, below is a photo of my new puppy. he's really x1000 irresistible and cute! we decided to name it Bruno. it has went for its last puppy vaccination at the clinic and behaved really well during the jab. impressed! surprisingly, the vet was an aussie. oh well, Bruno's almost 5 months old now (was 3 months old before). have a good look if you're curious.
