I seriously need to get back to blogging!!!
A place for me to reflect, speak my mind and dream. =)
Sunday will soon be gone in 11 minutes and my 7th week as a medical student is about to begin. I submitted my first assignment last Friday.
I had planned to read the Clinical Examination book today. Yet, I have not read it yet. Along with my many other lecture notes. Things seem to be getting out of hand... It was not like this in the first 4 weeks of the semester. I had everything done on time and according to plan. But as the weeks passed by, I began to loose the discipline and focus I need. What had gone wrong?!?
It must be all the procrastination... And moderate level of stress that I am in. Clinical day has so far not been good yet. I feel the opposite as how my friends feel (stress rather than excitement). I know that this is not a good sign and I think I need help!
Apart from that, so far so good. I attended all my lectures, even those that seemed unimportant and began early at 8am (of which I was late for 30 minutes but then again, the feeling of me attending, at least 15 minutes of it, keeps me going to the rest of the lectures). Well, I hope to be more punctual in the future and instead of taking the bus from home to university, I will walk. These are the little changes that I can do day-to-day I guess.
As for exercise, I try to gym at least twice a week for cardio. But at times, I ended up going once because I was tired and chose to nap instead. I am definitely taking more naps this year than I ever did in my life (except when I was a child). And usually after the nap, I will feel better but sometimes even more tired and sleepy. This is due to the long hours of classes most of the days (lectures start at 9am and usually ends around 5pm). At the end of the day, I am just super tired and hungry. Hence the nap. I hope this is normal for any medical student to feel and go through (I guess only God knows). But I can't help noticing that my other fellow med coursemates are having such a great time, drinking, partying and beaching around plus work! I have no clue how they are coping with med and all that.
All in all, I am hanging in there! I am taking things day by day. Try to take it easy than stressing too much about it. I know that God has tomorrow planned for me and I hope I have the courage to step onto tomorrow's steps.
Great night everybody! xoxo
