today (for the whole of today and still is), my arms and legs are sore. why? it's all thanks to the ski trip that i went for yesterday with my church friends.
there were altogether 15 of us (but 1 had to join other coach bus because the bus was full). i was freaking excited that morning. met sally that dawn at 5.20am and grabbed breakfast at Hungry Jacks. soon, we were joined by Jocelyn and gathered together with the rest at Lonsdale where our coach bus was waiting for us. i sat at the back of the bus with Sally and we chatted during the journey to Mt Buller. the ride was 4 hours drive, but the tour guide gave us a toilet break halfway, but it was too cold, i didn't bother going out of the bus. i took lots of pictures during the ride because i thought the sceneries of the meadows and the fields were just breath-taking, unlike the hectic urban energy in the city where i lived. i've uploaded them on facebook, so feel free to browse through them. you will be amazed at how many of them there are. :)
we arrived at the ski area at abt 11am and had to leave by 3.45pm. so we got about 4 hours of skiing, after time spent on queuing for jackets, pants, boots and locker to keepsafe our belongings. plus we also spent some time for lunch at the end. altogether, i took the ski lift thrice or four times and had to ski all the way down to the bottom. we had no coaching or whatsoever so feel free to imagine all sorts of things a clumsy person could have done. cause name it, i did it. fell backward, sideway, forward. i fell til i thought i sprained my leg. but thank God, i did not. but yes, i was left with bruises all around my knee and bottom. although they hurt so much, i was happy and it was worth it. that proved that i did have a great time out there and attempted to master the art of skiing (i wish). i learnt how to ski without falling on the third/fourth attempt. thank God for that. that makes me not hate skiing and love it even more now. maybe next time, i will try snowboarding too.
when we reached the city, it was already 7 and we had dinner together at Nelayan. i was not that hungry so i gave some of my rice to a friend who claimed that he could finish mine as well. i wonder how he still have the appetite to eat after the heavy plus late lunch that we had. maybe he's a guy and he don't really have to think about looking slim and stuff. oh well.
today, i had lunch with brother and cousin at Spicy Sichuan because all the yumcha restaurants were full. we ordered too much so we were super full after that. next, i wanted to get stockings but i couldn't find them so we headed to the camera store for my brother. after that, we bought movie tickets for Knight and Day and went to Borders while waiting for the movie to start. bought myself a magazine and notebook.
the movie was not as good as i expected it to be. so quite disappointed. but Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz acted together in the movie, which i think was great since they're couples in real life. so together, they looked really natural and it was funny too. however, i expected it to be better as a result and the story was a little confusing for me. also, the movie seemed too good to be true, especially the part where they were in a car chase. so fake. overall, it was a good movie. but just not a must-watch one. the other movie that is coming out next week, Inception, THAT is a must-watch! (well, judging from its trailer.) for dinner, we had BBQ Pork with egg gravy on rice at Rose Gardens. the place was packed with people, but the food wasn't that good i'm afraid. or maybe i was just too full still at that time and lost my appetite and unbiased judgment on food. who knows.
i am lying on my bed now, as i'm typing these. and watching Marley & Me on another opened window. multi-tasker huh? well, actually the dvd had this freeze screen problem/fault every second now so it's taking a long time for the picture to move. i hate this. who won't? this is the thing with cheap dvds you buy, if you know what i mean.
ok time to get my head to rest now. got church tomorrow and i don't intend to skip it. so good night peeps. God bless you ALL. have a great sunday!
xoxo,
